What is Involved in Each Devout Heart Session?

Devout Heart Is Made Up of Sessions. Each Session involves a talk as well as an Examination of Conscience that is based on the Devout Heart Material provided for each session. There is also a separate time set aside for a Reflective Journaling, Prayer, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation:

Welcome (15 Minutes):
  • Food
  • Fellowship

Joint Session (60 Minutes):
  • Prayer for Intentions
  • Talk
  • Examination of Conscience

Individual Time in the Sanctuary (30 Minutes):
  • Reflective Journaling
  • Prayer
  • Rosary
  • The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Fellowship Time (15 Minutes):
  • Food
  • Finish

What will be taught in the Sessions?

Module One: Need Him
(Covers the 7 Capital Sins, & the 44 Daughters Of The Capital Sins)

Module Two: Seek Him
(Covers The Theological & Cardinal Virtues and Prayer in light of the Blessed Virgin Mary)

Module Three: Find Him
(Mytagogical Study which covers the 7 Sacraments)

Module Four: Know Him
(Christological Study which covers the life of Christ and what it means to follow Him)

Module Five: Love Him
(Covers The 7 Spiritual Works Of Mercy & 7 Corporal Works Of Mercy)

Module Six: Defend Him
(Apologetics Study which covers a study on Christian Philosophy and how to give a reason for our Faith)

Module Seven: Proclaim Him
(An Evangelization Study which equips the young people to reach those around them with the message of the Gospel)

Module Eight: Be Him
(Covers the Beatitudes, the 12 Charismata, the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit & the 12 Fruits of The Holy Spirit)

Any Young-Adult (19 & Under) who is Confirmed or within a year of receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation is welcome to attend at any time
